Shepherd's Staff is in need of filled Easter Baskets for children ages infants through teens. Last year more than 1,500 baskets were distributed. Please deliver finished baskets to The Shepherd’s Staff office at 30 Carroll Street in between March 2nd & 27th during their hours (Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 10am-2pm and Thursdays 3pm-7pm.) Help combat hunger, one bowl at a time. Sunday, April 5th, at St. John Catholic Church Portico (11am, 12:30pm, and 2pm seatings), at Empty Bowls of Carroll County, you will experience a delicious sampling of soups provided and served by several of the area's best restaurants. Tickets are $20.00 per person (children 5 and under are free) and can be purchased at https://emptybowls2020.bpt.me/. Ticket includes soup, bread, water and a take-home, ceramic bowl as a reminder of those whose bowls remain empty. Bowls are provided by local schools, groups, and volunteers.
