Help combat hunger, one bowl at a time. Sunday, April 5th, at St. John Catholic Church Portico (11am, 12:30pm, and 2pm seatings), at Empty Bowls of Carroll County, you will experience a delicious sampling of soups provided and served by several of the area's best restaurants. Tickets are $20.00 per person (children 5 and under are free) and can be purchased at https://emptybowls2020.bpt.me/. Ticket includes soup, bread, water and a take-home, ceramic bowl as a reminder of those whose bowls remain empty. Bowls are provided by local schools, groups, and volunteers. The next date for our Loaves & Fishes meal is Saturday February 29th, 1030 am, at Church of the Brethren to prepare and serve the meal. Come on out and join the fun, everyone is welcome. We will pack lunches & prepare food here at church on Friday the 28th, at 6 pm. There will be a signup sheet in the social hall for needed items.
