Ministry
At Stone Chapel and across the United Methodist Church, we love our neighbors just as we love one another - our brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord.

If you think you would like to hear more about us or find yourself strangely warmed by the notion of learning about the United Methodist Church, please reach out via any of our contact methods - email, phone, or social media. Or just stop by any Sunday.
Community Service
The Stone Chapel UMC congregation is often donating to local community and international Church and humanitarian causes, regularly offering hot meals to those in need, and hosting local bluegrass bands in our social hall.

We are active and always looking for additional ways to help the greater New Windsor and Westminster areas.

Past and Present
The beautiful history of the United Methodist Church in America began in the north central Maryland region.
Stone Chapel United Methodist Church was established in 1780. On one of the frontiers in the early history of our nation, Robert Strawbridge was the person who started Methodist movement in the United States. He emigrated to this New World in 1760 and began spreading the word of God to the people.

Stone Chapel UMC is one of the first Methodist congregations planted by Strawbridge and his small groups (which were called "class meetings") in this region. Since then, Stone Chapel has been spreading the word of God through words, deeds, and service to the New Windsor, Westminster, and surrounding communities.
