The beautiful history of the United Methodist Church began here
Stone Chapel United Methodist Church was established in 1780. One of the frontiers in the early history of our nation, Robert Strawbridge was the first man who started Methodist movement in the United States. He emigrated to this New World in 1760 and began spreading the word of God to the people.
Stone Chapel UMC is one of the first Methodist congregations
planted by Strawbridge and his small groups (Called 'Class meeting'). Since then, Stone Chapel has spread the words of God for the New Windsor and Westminster community . . .
